Parsons is now hiring a Bridge Section Manager who can lead a team of professionals working on our expanding portfolio of infrastructure projects!What You'll Be Doing:Reviewing and approving discipline staffing budget estimates and staffing assignment schedules on each projectMaintaining appropriate staffing level, including temporary personnel, as neededReviewing and approving staff forecasting reportsIf assigned to a major program, managing all engineering and design efforts for all disciplines required for the programCoordinating all discipline staffing requirements for the programMonitoring the quality and progress of the discipline on each project, ensuring that production requirements are satisfiedWorking closely with Project Managers to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to discipline staffing, quality of work, schedule performance, or productivityEnsuring compliance with both Parsons’ and the Project standards and proceduresRecommending improvements to department proceduresSupporting pre-contract and business development efforts as required, serving as technical consultantActively participating in and promoting the Quality Improvement ProgramMay head a committee within the discipline, striving to motivate and educate the assigned personnelMonitoring the quality and progress of the discipline on each project, ensuring that production requirements are satisfiedEstablishing standards and procedures manuals for the disciplineRecommending improvements to department proceduresEnsuring performance within overhead budgets authorized for the disciplineSupporting development of pursuit pipeline and mining opportunities for the SectionBusiness Development ResponsibilitiesSupport development of pursuit pipeline and mining opportunities for the SectionSupport Win Strategy and supports Proposals for a pursuitMay serve as Capture Manager for a key pursuitMay serve as main point of contact for projectSupport business development opportunities and marketing eventsServe on a committee or board for professional organizations that meet our objectivesMay attend key conferences for networking and brand exposureSubmit abstracts to key conferences and encourages presentations from staffIdentify the needs to develop a staffing plan for projects and pursuits for Teams projectsIdentify the need for new hires for the TeamAssist or lead on-boarding of new staffIdentify strategic potential candidates to hire and lead recruiting efforts for these key Team hires.Identify and coordinates training needs and requests for their staff.Develop career development plans with all direct reportsDevelop workforce forecasting to identify peaks and valleys of staffing needs for their Team.Responsible for performance including recognition and disciplinary efforts for Team StaffWhat Qualifications You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field)15+ years of related Bridge, INDOT based work experience, including supervisory/managerial experienceIndiana Professional Engineer (PE) registration with active membership in a professional engineering society may be requiredProven ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacityExcellent written and oral communications skillsThorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are requiredMust also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignmentsSecurity Clearance Requirement: NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
