A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.Job SummaryHead of GIS Governance & System Management responsible for providing the GIS team standard operating procedures, enforcement to ensure preparedness for audits and internal review and appropriate infrastructure/tools to deliver on projects and application development defined by senior management and business needs.Major ResponsibilitiesThis function will report to the head of GIS Strategic Projects & Architecture and will work with Senior GCIB management and stakeholders, providing governance, project management and oversight. The goal will be to provide the team with all the tools necessary to execute global strategic initiatives and ensure effective daily operations. This person will have to have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate and influence within the team and across various organizations at MUFG. The scope will be global, supporting Americas, EMEA and APAC. This role will have team of 3-4 direct reports to begin with in New York office and in MGS India office.Leadership/Strategic
  • Senior MIS leader reporting to the head of GIS Strategic Projects & Architecture and member of GIS management team
  • Work with GCIB PD Tokyo and Technology leads with Gyokei process for funding and resourcing of new projects as well as extension of existing projects
  • Ensure business stakeholders are informed of projects status and progress through steering committee
  • Coordinate with regional GCIB Business Strategy/COO teams to define prioritization of strategic book of work
Collaboration
  • Coordinate with Technology Infrastructure and other systems groups to build/maintain/support the environment and infrastructure to help implement GIS projects and systems
  • Coordinate with GCIB PD, Technology PMO and Finance team budgeting of upcoming business projects
  • Provide reporting to Technology PMO for tracking projects status and progress
  • Work with regional systems team to provide documentation related to Bank’s system development and security governance
  • Work with Technology and Risk/Controls to address any regulatory requirements
  • Work with Internal Auditors to find and address any audit issues of GIS applications
Project Management & Daily Activities
  • Provide project management and delivery support to GIS teams
  • Assist with appropriate documentation supporting projects including release notes, Go/No Go communications, etc.
  • Help define and ensure adherence to processes/procedures including user support, SDLC, incident management, change management, user access control/security groups maintenance, etc.
  • Systems migration and merge
  • Release Management Process and Execution oversight
  • Prod and Non prod requests management
  • QA Testing – working closely with the developers
  • Hardware Decommissioning
  • Data purge
  • Ensure the safekeeping of our environment and systems
  • Audit preparation, coordination & delivery
  • Annual testing – BCP/DR
  • Annual service accounts password rotation
  • Certification and renewals: licenses, systems inventory, DB inventory, SSL certifications, etc…
  • User recertification
  • Vulnerabilities remediation
  • Database provisioning
  • Servers maintenance: storage, cpu, memory; EOL, etc.
  • Managing integration with Identity Access Management
  • Supporting team members (equipment, access, …)
  • Local and offshore: servers, database and network
  • Affiliate users
  • Connectivity locally and across regions and vendors
  • Incident management
  • Violations resolutions, such as SOD, among others
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors’ in Information Technology, Finance or related or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience working with Financial Services & Banking organizations
  • Proven leadership track to run technology operations, global projects and support business users across the globe
  • Experience with working closely with infrastructure and navigation technology organizations
  • Strong technical proficiency in architecture, application development and data management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels and influence across various organizations in MUFG
  • Candidate must be able to continually assess and communicate appropriate status to senior management for proper decision making
  • Requires managing team of over 3-4 members in NY office and in MGS India office
The typical base pay range for this role is between $190K - $230K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
