Demonstrates the capability to acquire basic formulation techniques for color matching through effective learning and application
Has the ability to learn and comprehend color index numbers associated with colorants
Demonstrates the ability to learn and retain about the heat stability and regulatory restrictions of colorants and polymers
Proficient in effectively communicating with peers within the department
Has the ability to learn spectral curves and comprehend the process of identifying colorants
Possesses the ability to learn and understand the basics of polymers and polymer additives
Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply the process of correcting color matches made in sample preparation
Capable of learning the operation lab process equipment, including Injection Molders, Two Roll Mills, Sheet Line, Blow Molder, and Extruders
Knowledge/Skills/Experience required for advancement:
2-5 years of experience
Ability to correct colors from sample prep with minimal assistance.
Can generate a starting formulation
Demonstrate basic color index knowledge
Basic trouble shooting of injection molding process
