We are currently seeking a Full-Time A/R Coating Tech I for our fast-paced Optical Lab located in Omaha, NE. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team!Weekend Shift - Thursday to Sunday 1:30 pm to 12:00 am (40 hours in 4 days, 3 days off)Training for this shift is Monday to Friday on 1st or 2nd shift for 4 to 6 weeks.$18.00/hour (includes $2.00/hour shift differential)Hiring Bonus: $1000 total - A $500 Bonus will be paid out to you after 6 months of employment for continued employment in an evening, night or weekend shift position. An additional $500 Bonus will be paid to you after 9 months of employment in an evening, night or weekend shift position.Job SummaryPerform all aspects of the A/R Coating process. This process applies Anti-Reflective coating to ophthalmic lenses. Employee is responsible for the quality of the work performed and is expected to know the quality and safety requirements for every operation that they perform.Duties:
  • Inspect, rack and make lenses ready for coating
  • Load racks into dip coating machine
  • Prepare all solutions for the coating process & assure daily supplies are stocked
  • Sandblast A/R Coater parts
  • Perform maintenance on production equipment
  • Sort incoming work by date, material and process
  • Perform other duties as needed
Experience/Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • Prior optical experience a plus, but not required
  • Must be highly detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude helpful
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
