Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support contract negotiations with 3PL partners to ensure the necessary storage and deployment capacity for our operations is covered.
- Maintain the necessary documentation regarding such contracts, audit certifications, certificates of insurance, contact lists, FDA audits, procedures and rates.
- Coordinate with Planning, Sales, Inventory, and Warehouse Departments to ensure optimal production requirements, lead times, and inventory levels are met.
- Collect, analyze, and share sales data with all pertinent departments to aid and enhance manager decision making.
- Support our IT department as well as the 3PL’s in developing solutions to the information needs on both sides, knowingly but not limited to item databases synchronization, reporting, EDI/JDE driven processes and updates.
- Reporting on operations status, financial and budget periodic KPI’s, occupancy, etc. as needed.
- Manage service issues as they arise using continuous improvement tools to find solutions for customers, both internal and external.
- Manage communication with peers, supervisors and other departments like Customer Service and Sales as needed.
- Support our plant managed warehouse managers (dotted line reporting to this position).
- Communicate with accounts on existing and future orders and create production requests, taking inventory level of each product into consideration.
- Accurately review and approve Warehouse invoices within Intellichief.
- Training and developing the Team on his/her area of expertise.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or related field(s) and/or a minimum of seven years in a warehouse supervisory / administrative role, with progressive responsibilities and experience in inventory, distribution, shipping or receiving.
- Deep knowledge of WMS (Warehouse management system) operations.
- Experience with computer application systems related to inventory, distribution, shipping or receiving, especially JDE. Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent management, organization skills, and negotiating skills.
- Self-starter who can make changes and improve processes.
- Daily user of continuous improvement tools & methodologies.
- Ability to manage through or escalate issues.
- Ability to learn and utilize various types of software / information systems.
- Range of pay $115,000 - $125,000 per year. Plus, annual bonus.
