The team team utilizes leading-edge science and engineering technologies in generative AI to help shoppers discover new products and brands through intuitive, conversational interfaces. These solutions also empower advertisers to reach shoppers, using their own voice to explain how their products meet shoppers' needs. The team collaborates with various teams across multiple Amazon organizations to push the boundary of what's possible in these fields.Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a Sr. Applied Science Manager to drive transformative GenAI-based innovation for conversational and agentic ad experiences. The leader will lead a cross-functional team of talented engineers, scientists, and product managers to deliver these experiences for shoppers and advertisers.As a senior leader, you will play a critical role in elevating the team's scientific and technical rigor, identifying and implementing best-in-class algorithms, methodologies, and infrastructure that enable rapid experimentation and scaling. You will establish a long-term vision for continued scientific innovation, setting strategic goals to future-proof the organization's technical stacks and ML/LLM frameworks to support new and emerging business objectives. Additionally, you will grow talents, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning to enhance the organization's ability to solve complex problems.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in developing and deploying applied AI/ML solutions in customer-facing products for 10+ years

The base pay for this position ranges from $196,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $340,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
