To request a reasonable accommodation, notify Human Resources or the manager who oversees the position.AdministrativeEnsure accuracy of customer transactions in order entry system such as orders, quotes, returns, etcMaintain accurate customer and territory records; document all customer interactions and potential sales opportunitiesGain understanding of and adhere to Accounts Receivables policies and practicesRun sales reports for all sales activity.Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely deliveryVerify price and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customer profitability profilesMultitask and work within multiple computer systems and communication platforms simultaneouslyCustomer RelationsDevelop strong working relationships across the business/functions, as well as with customers and manufacturing partnersProvide impeccable customer service and sales support; respond to customer queries, answer questions and solve problems in a timely fashionGenerate SalesMake regular outbound calls to assigned customers/territoriesGenerate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information to customers in a timely mannerIdentify customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and/or solutionsUse appropriate selling tactics such as up-selling and cross-selling when needed.Educate customers about product features and benefits to grow sales and improve customer satisfactionGenerate referrals from current customers and manufacturers' representatives.Maintain a current knowledge of consumer preferences, company products, programs, market conditions, and competitionThe Inside Sales Representative may perform other duties as assignedJob QualificationsRequired QualificationsAssociate's Degree in , or equivalent work experience in animal science, husbandry, nutrition or related field.Exceptional customer service and organization skillsAccuracy and strong attention to detail.Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsGeneral computer proficiency including knowledge of MS OfficePreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experienceInside sales experience; previous success exceeding sales goals is a plusProficiency in SAPWorking ConditionsPhysical DemandsLifting or Carrying, occasional, up to 25 poundsSitting or Standing, majority of work dayEnvironmental FactorsOperate a computer of other office devicesTalking and hearing, position involves frequent communication with customers, inside staff, etc, and requires ability to understand and effectively exchange accurate informationReading and sight, requires frequent review of customer information
