
Medical Staff Coordinator

- Medical Staff review and approval for initial applications, reappointment applications, supports the Medical Staff as a resource regarding bylaws. Develops the Medical Staff Board Report to the Board of Trustees.- Researches and develops department documents. Maintains current knowledge regarding CMS, OK State Health Department and Joint Commission standards and requirements.
- Collaborates with other hospital based departments to assist in creating agendas, recording minutes, obtaining and analyzing clinical activity reports and coordinating projects with hospital leadership and other departments.

- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Experience: Medical Staff Services and credentialing experience required. Microsoft Office experience required.
- Skills, knowledge and abilities: Must be computer literate. Effective communication skills both written and oral. Effective project management to include problem solving and group facilitation skills. Excellent customer service. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multi task and demonstrate excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of healthcare services and regulatory standards beneficial. Working conditions, mental and physical requirements.
- Equipment used: Computer, copier (general office equipment).
- Preferred Education:Bachelors Degree preferred (Business Administration or related health or management field).
- Certification/Registration:Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) or a Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS).
