As we continue to grow, we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization, including this opportunity at NDX Albensi Laboratory in Irwin, PA for a Full-Time Dental Laboratory Technician I - (Removables Model Work)The regular hours for this position are from 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. These hours will be subject to change from time to time.This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including: health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; paid holiday, vacation, and sick time; 401K; and tuition reimbursement.Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
  • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
  • Bead and Pour impressions
  • Base models
  • Trim models
  • Set bites
  • Articulate models
  • Pour and jig cases to be relined
  • Make duplicate models
  • Pushing and pulling cart of work around work area.
  • Review final work and check completely that all quality standards have been met before passing the work to the next technician.
  • Bite Blocks
  • Custom Trays
  • Simple Set-ups
  • Articulations
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to complete assigned workload daily.
  • Preparing (box and pour impression material, trim models, set and seal bites and articulate.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • Preferred: High School diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated employment experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Must have 12 months of experience as a Dental Laboratory Technician and is skilled in one or more of the tasks associated with a Removable Dental Laboratory Technician.
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:
  • Laboratory equipment that may include: grinders, lathes, ovens, burners, steamers and boiling water.
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires sitting for long periods of time, uncommon posture when fabricating and continuous maneuvering of hands and fingers while working with small tools.
