Job Description:Purpose StatementThe job of the Robotics Program Manager (49%) is done for the purposes of (1) managing the district robotics program and (2) supervising the full-time Teacher on Loan and 49% Teacher on Loan at the Coca-Cola Space Science Center.This job reports to Senor Director of Career, Technical and Agricultural Education, STEAM & Robotics.Essential Functions
Provides monitoring and technical assistance to elementary, middle, and high schools for the purpose of implementing the district’s robotics program.
Communicates with school administration and teachers to execute the district’s Robotics Program, including registering teams at local, state, and national levels; ordering robotics equipment; and holding meetings to ensure all coaches are supported.
Makes purchases of the appropriate robotics equipment, competition registrations, modes of transportation, and other resources.
Researches and assists with the writing of grants for the purpose of pursuing other funding to support robotics programs.
Develops strategic partnerships with the business community-at-large for the purpose of garnering greater involvement of businesses and community-based organizations and leverages resources to provide support for the district’s robotics program.
Uses social media, speaking at community meetings where parents and stakeholders are present for the purpose of building a strong public relations program.
Participates in a variety of meetings, workshops, committees, job-related training and other professional learning programs for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable of program guidelines.
Supervises and evaluates the full-time Teacher on Loan and 49% Teacher on Loan at the Coca-Cola Space Science Center.
Performs other related duties, as assigned by the Senior Director of Career, Technical and Agricultural Education, STEAM & Robotics for the purpose of ensuring the efficient, effective functioning of the work unit.
