Your journey starts now-protect and innovate with MANTECH!***This is for a future opportunity***MANTECH seeks a motivated and customer-focused Network Support Site Lead at Hill Air Force Base, UT to Lead our onsite technical support operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the administrative and managerial oversight of our support staff, serving as the primary point of contact for our client and ensuring the successful delivery of technical services.Onsite - 8-hour day shiftsResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Team Leadership & Management:
  • Provide administrative and managerial support for all onsite personnel.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for the client's management regarding staffing and scheduling issues.
  • Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of operational processes and documentation.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure all team procedures and administrative documentation meet client requirements.
  • Establish and maintain standards for operational runbooks and playbooks, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and consistent.
  • Facilitate training for support engineers to ensure they are proficient in using and contributing to operational documentation.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve runbook and playbook content and processes.
  • Technical Escalation:
  • Act as a key escalation point for Tier 1 support technicians, providing guidance and resolving complex issues. Participate in an on-call rotation as needed to address critical issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, or a related technical field; An Associate's degree with 3 years of related experience or 6 years of related experience might be substituted for a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience managing cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • 3+ years of experience with physical/virtual infrastructure, operating systems, or virtualization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • 2+ years of experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, VPNs, VLANs, Peering, Load Balancing, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with any of the following GCP solutions: CloudSQL, Google App Engine, GCP networking solutions, or distributed computing technology.
  • GCP certification.
Clearance Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
  • Office-based work with extended periods of sedentary activity and occasional movement
  • Travel by car or air to attend meetings and conferences as needed
  • Frequent communication with colleagues, management, and clients, including presentation delivery and accurate information exchange
