- Teach up to six semester credit hours (up to two (2) courses) within the required discipline. Instruction may be delivered on-campus, off-campus, or online and may be during the day and/or evening as dictated by student demand and departmental needs.
- Develop and manage the class syllabus and ensure that the syllabus meets department and college standards.
- Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments.
- Assess grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations.
- Assist/mentor students as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education: MSA or MBA degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance from an AACSB accredited university or a combination of graduate degrees in accounting or finance from an AACSB accredited program. At least 18 hours of graduate level accounting or finance. Candidates with a specialized degree in taxation; a combination of degrees in accounting/taxation and law; or terminal degree in accounting or finance or a closely related field may teach graduate coursework.
- Experience: At least 2-years of experience working in accounting or finance for a public firm, industry, or with a governmental entity. Demonstrated expertise in the subject area.
- Knowledge / Skills: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to: Multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
- Licensing/Professional Certifications: One or more of the following designations: CPA, CFE, CIA, CMA, EA, or CFF.
- Candidates who hold current relevant professional credentials.
- College or University teaching experience.
- Evidence of teaching excellence.
- Prior relevant industry experience.
- Online or hybrid teaching experience.
- Experience engaging students with synchronous and asynchronous communication in an online learning environment.
