Qorvo's Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Internships are offered in our Global Operations business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.Responsibilities may include:
  • KPI and Dashboard Development/Consolidation
  • Use LEAN tools such as A3, 8D and 8-step to apply manufacturing best-practices / continual improvements
  • Cross functional observation to identify and drive continuous improvements in cycle time, constraints, safety, efficiency, cost, etc.
  • Assembly layout projects
  • Supply weekly updates to supporting Manager on Project(s) status - with emphasis on schedule, project health and any concerns impactful to project(s) timeline.
  • Generate documentation /reports and present findings in a team meeting
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Computer database experience (Oracle, SQL, Advanced Excel Macros programming)
  • Experience with statistical and/or reporting tools such as JMP, Spotfire, or Tableau
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (applies towards manufacturing equipment & tooling)
  • Self-Starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong people skills and ability to work well with all team members
This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship by the company.Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr-$42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.
