
Machine Operator (TINC-MFG) - 3rd Shift

- Performing set-up and operation of assigned lathe machines.
- Performing preventative maintenance and diagnostics on lathe machines as needed and required.
- Reporting all deviations in proper machine performance to employee’s direct supervisor, other shop supervisor, and/or Machine Maintenance personnel (when warranted).
- Advising and consulting with direct supervisor, and/or shop supervisor as applicable, for tools and tooling needed to complete projects.
- Maintaining fixtures and set-ups for use in specified projects as assigned by direct supervisor in conjunction with other shop supervisor when applicable.
- Supporting and maintaining overall shop efficiency by keeping work areas clean and safe.
- Inspecting and documenting all operations per TURBOCAM procedures as stated in the Quality Manual as well as per specifications of the product engineer, project manager, and direct supervisor.
- Interpreting blueprints and use various calibrated instruments to check dimensions called out on inspection reports.
- Performing other duties as necessary.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Experience running CNC lathes.
- Good math skills.
- Knowledge of measuring equipment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and use calibrated instruments to check dimensions preferred.
- Ability to advance through training matrix.
- Attention to detail; ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
- Must be self-motivated and willing to seek out additional work when time is available.
- Requires occasional lifting and carrying of 25-50 lbs. or more and standing for extended periods of time.
- Moderate physical activity requiring agility and manual dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending as well as lifting or moving objects.
- Must be able to climb in and out of small places; crawl around machinery.
