Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) - Part Time, School Based

- Hold a bachelors or masters degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Hold a valid Texas teaching certificate with a specialization in Adaptive Physical Education
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Design and implement adapted physical education programs for students with disabilities
- Assess students physical abilities and limitations
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with special education teams
- Modify games, sports, and physical activities to ensure accessibility and inclusion
- Monitor student progress and adjust programs as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student development
- Promote physical well-being, motor skills development, and social interaction
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and program effectiveness
- Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and regulations
