Invo Healthcare is the nation’s leading provider of behavior, mental health and therapy services in schools, centers and communities.We’re seeking a talented, part-time Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to join our school-based services team in Richardson, Texas.Professional License Requirements:Applicants are required to have the following, legally mandated certifications. Applicants without these requirements will not be considered.
  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
  • Hold a valid Texas teaching certificate with a specialization in Adaptive Physical Education
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
What to expect from this role:Experience working in schools or with children with disabilities is a plus but not required.
  • Design and implement adapted physical education programs for students with disabilities
  • Assess students’ physical abilities and limitations
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with special education teams
  • Modify games, sports, and physical activities to ensure accessibility and inclusion
  • Monitor student progress and adjust programs as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student development
  • Promote physical well-being, motor skills development, and social interaction
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and program effectiveness
  • Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and regulations
