- Lead the configuration and troubleshooting of Layer 2/3 switches, routers, firewalls, encryption devices, wireless access points, and associated networking gear.
- Oversee network control center operations to ensure 24/7 availability and proactive incident management.
- Design, install, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN/MAN infrastructures, including IPV4/IPV6, IPSec VPN, and voice/video systems.
- Guide network modernization efforts, new technology integration, and network architecture strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to develop compliant, secure, and scalable network solutions aligned with INFOSEC and COMSEC requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, ensuring effective integration with existing systems.
- Deliver comprehensive documentation for designs, configurations, and system operations.
- Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level network engineers, promoting a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
- Translate business and mission requirements into technical networking solutions and support documentation.
- Participate in security audits, STIG compliance checks, and vulnerability remediation processes related to network assets.

- Must have a BA/BS Degree in computer science, information technology, or logistics.
- Ten (10+) years of relevant experience working in IT enterprise network engineering.
- IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
- Proven leadership in managing complex network environments, including DoD networks.
- Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), security standards (802.1X, 802.11, MAC bridging), and media access control systems.
- Demonstrated experience in network segmentation, traffic management, and secure network architecture design.
- In-depth knowledge of network tools, monitoring platforms, and documentation best practices.
- Ability to plan and implement large-scale network configurations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
- Must obtain a computing environment certification within 6 months of hire.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification
- Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.
- CCIE certification.
- Familiarity with NIST, STIG, RMF, and Federal Information Systems Controls.
- Working knowledge of hardware configuration management tools and logistics tracking systems.
- Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
- Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
