
Manufacturing Metal Stamping Process Specialist

- Optimizes all machine processes by reducing scrap, cycle times and die change times;
- Responsible for maintaining process controls of equipment
- Monitor and troubleshoot operations to ensure minimal downtime
- Troubleshoots, and oversee implementation of new processes
- Fill out Production Reports and ensure that lot-control is complete.
- Read and follow work instructions to ensure proper work procedures are being followed
- Check parts for proper tolerances, surface defects, dimensions and make necessary adjustments
- Promote safety by abiding to all related policies and procedures
- Review run documents such as release records, visual aids, packaging standards, process sheets, ensuring that everything is in order and updated.
- Assist supervisor with production related issues.
- Describes system, components, and parts operating characteristics and malfunctions by writing technical reports;
- Sets-up stamping dies and performs start-up and shut-down of stamping presses;
- Verifies systems performance by testing functioning of installed equipment;
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, and evaluating new equipment and techniques;
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining process controls of presses, dies and equipment.
- Must be experienced with metals stamping dies and presses set-up and adjustments.
- Knowledge of Hot roll and Cold roll steel material, galvanized steel material.
- Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency and work with quality inspectors to ensure part quality/performance
- Make minor electrical and mechanical repairs and adjustments to machines/tools and notify supervisors when major service is required
- Provide ownership and analysis of metals stamping process and equipment for the reduction in defects, overall process improvement and/or the reduction of downtime and continue improvements
- Compiles, stores and receives production data
- Completes all paperwork as required.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
- Advise on improvements in tracking and reporting procedures.
- Promote safety by abiding to all related policies and procedures
- Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude and strong machine troubleshooting skills
- Must have experience with metal stamping process and stamping die and material set-up
- Possess basic computer and mathematical skills sufficient to perform press operations and related tasks
- Ability to properly use measuring tools, gauges and fixtures
- Ability to safely operate forklift in close quarters
- Safety and environmental training and experience
- Ability to work effectively alone and able to work afternoons or night shift
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated good internal customer service skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Possess basic office skills such as Excel, Microsoft Word.

- Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail.
- Troubleshooting ability is required.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75lbs.
- This position may require hot work, standing up to 100%, overhead work, kneeling, bending, crawling, pushing, pulling, climbing, and working at heights.
