Primary Job Function: The Service Plumber is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing residential and commercial plumbing.Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair equipment properly at a customer's location
  • Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance
  • Maintain clean truck and equipment
  • Attend all training classes and training seminars to maintain field knowledge
  • Adhere to proper procedures for work orders, return material tags, etc
  • Take direction regarding scheduling from the dispatcher
  • Keep the dispatcher informed at all times as to whereabouts
  • Fill out service tickets for maintenance and service work while on the job
  • Collect payment for services rendered where required
  • Follow through on job issues
  • Performs mathematical calculations
  • Keep abreast of all company sales promotions and pricing
  • Turn in all paperwork to the office, making sure it is filled out completely and accurately in the field on a weekly basis
  • Operate & maintain company vehicles according to the Beyer Plumbing Vehicle Safety policy
  • Keep warehouse manager updated on material shortages
  • Responsible for having all minimum required stock on the truck at all times
  • Recommend/sell equipment, service agreements, and accessories when it is requested by the customer or is in the best interest of the customer
  • Responsible for training apprentices in the field
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
  • A valid Journeyman or Masters license
  • Ability to read and interpret plans
  • Ability to work well with technology and adapt to change
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to lift 58 lbs
  • Maintain 30 hours of Continuing Education
  • Backflow Certification is a plus!
