  • Support classroom instruction by helping prepare materials, organizing supplies, and assisting with technology or presentations.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students who need extra help with assignments, directions, or skills practice.
  • Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other non-classroom times to maintain safety and order.
  • Assist with classroom management by reinforcing rules, redirecting off-task behavior, and encouraging positive interactions.
  • Support recordkeeping and organization by tracking assignments, filing paperwork, and maintaining bulletin boards or learning displays.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; or four years of experience and knowledge where specialized duties are involved
  • Ability to work with student(s)
  • Patience in dealing with students with disabilities
  • Good communication skills
  • Empathetic but able to positively motivate students to do well
Qualifications Desired:
  • Teacher aide or personal care aide experience preferred
  • SCIP training preferred
