By providing patients and internal and external stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, you’ll help ensure that patients at The Oregon Clinic receive the highest value care tailored to their needs.As a visible, collaborative leader, you will:Oversees all information technology activities and ensures that technology supports the organizational goals.Responsible for managing the daily operation and security of networks and infrastructure, as well as coordinating with senior leadership to align IT initiatives with business objectives.Provide operational and strategic leadership for the IT Department as well as plan and implement long-range technology strategies.Manage budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring data security, evaluating new technologies, managing user satisfaction, and communicating clearly and consistently with stakeholders.Essential Responsibilities Guided by Your Expertise Include:
  • Develops and implements IT strategies: planning short-term and long-term roadmaps and architecture that aligns with organizational goals and ensures scalability, security, and efficiency.
  • Stays current with technology trends and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Leads and manages the IT team: recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates IT team members. Sets performance objectives, mentors employees, and creates a culture of service, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversees IT operations and infrastructure: directs the installation, maintenance, and support of networks, servers, databases, telecommunications, and other systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Develops standards: establishes standards for hardware and software, management of backups, and disaster-recovery planning, cybersecurity, and risk mitigation.
  • Develops policies: establishes and enforces IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluates equipment and software needs and negotiates contracts with vendors.
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders: serves as the primary liaison between IT and the organization, communicating technology strategies and providing technical guidance.
  • Serves as HIPAA Security office for the organization.
  • Demonstrated skill in leading and managing infrastructure projects in a healthcare environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: $151,710 - $227,565 per year.Workdays: This role is located at the Central Administration Office. Remote/Hybrid work options are available after training completion and expectations are met. Must live in Portland or SW Washington. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, (8:00 am-5:00 pm).Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible management experience in a health care setting is required.
  • Advanced experience in healthcare IT operations and management is essential, including several years supervising teams and managing complex projects.
  • Proven track record of leading IT departments, implementing technology strategies and managing budgets.
  • Experience with ITIL standards and other system development methodologies.
  • Experience negotiating with vendors, managing contracts, and aligning IT spending with organization goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
