You will also establish and maintain effective work relationships with co-workers and customers through a high degree of professionalism and excellent interpersonal/communication skills.   • Approve accounts payable batches for processing
  • Process and print weekly check batch
  • Maintenance of the vendor master file
  • Preparing and reconciling the monthly multi-state sales tax return
  • Preparing monthly lease and royalty payments
  • Administer the division's purchasing card, expense reimbursement and timekeeping programs
  • Other duties as assigned
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience and skills.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figure and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and work independently. Occasional overtime may be required.
