
Residential Program Cook – Youth Treatment Center

- Plan, prepare, cook, and serve nutritional meals for the youth, (no late nights!)
- Keep the kitchen clean and safe, ensuring all sanitation, & regulatory standards are met
- Manage inventory including food orders and supplies
- Occasionally guide and supervise youth assigned as kitchen helpers
- Keep daily logs, follow food handling & labeling procedures and report meal counts
- A big heart and a cheerful outlook
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations; current food handler certification required or willingness to get one upon hire
- Min. 1 yr. of experience in food service or kitchen management; experience in a residential or institutional setting preferred
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and interact respectfully with youth and employees
- Pass a Level II background check and pre-employment drug screen
