Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?
  • Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
  • If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.
Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam
  • Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
  • Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Picker/Packer Details:
  • Temporary position
  • $17.00 to $18.25 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • Weekend work required
  • Various shifts available
  • Weekly pay & consistent hours – keep your income flowing
  • Climate-controlled environment – stay comfortable while you work
  • Accurately pick and pack products from shelves and bins
  • Prepare customer orders for shipment
  • Use scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory
  • Must be able to work day after day of Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve
Picker/Packer Qualifications:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout your shift
  • Comfortable lifting up to 30–50 lbs. as needed
  • Reliable and punctual – attendance is key!
  • Previous warehouse or order fulfillment experience a plus, but not required
A shift Mon- Thur 6am-4:30pm, $17B shift Mon- Thur 6pm- 4:30am, $17.50C shift Fri- Sun 6am- 6pm, $17.75D shift Fri- Sun 6pm-6am, $18.25
