Oversee and help coordinate the safety and health aspects for employees and subcontractors onsite
Ensure compliance with MSHA/OSHA and state regulations
Facilitating HS&E related training (e.g. new hire orientations)
Assist the Project Manager with incident investigations, site and regulatory agency inspections
Maintain a good working relationship with project clients and customers
Record keeping, auditing, and trending of data, while maintaining visible leadership in the field
Qualifications:
1+ years practical experience in the Mining industry as a HS&E professional
A thorough understanding and practical experience with MSHA regulations, documentation, and MSHA 30 CFR
The ability to effectively communicate and present information to the hourly workforce, while also effectively interacting with project management staff, clients, and customers
Excellent verbal, written communications, and computer skills
The ability to provide a proactive approach to safety, to include identification of operational and organizational issues, as well as develop and implement strategies to solve them
An MSHA Instructors certification (blue card) is considered an asset
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean abstract
Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements
