-Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place
-Devising and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
-Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducting quality assurance tests; and performing statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
-Ensuring that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
-Collaborating with Engineering and Global Supply Chain for performance at suppliers of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards.
-Providing internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions.
-Supporting supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activities.
-Participating (as required) in supplier's failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.They may also specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.Basic QualificationsDegree at the bachelor level or above and/or equivalent experience/combined educationMust have the ability to obtain a security clearanceEngineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured productsAble to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instructions and / or PO notes.Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex.Experience in disposition of non-conforming productsExperience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvementKnowledge Geometric Dimensioning and ToleranceKnowledge of Configuration and Data ManagementProficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Demonstrated presentation skillsAbility to travelDesired skillsSTEM degree preferredLean / Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt)Experience working in an IPT structure in a dynamic environmentUnderstanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management SystemsExperience working with Government customersEffective communication skills, i.e., written, oral, listening and technical writingEffective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaborationVirtualnoZip32819EEOLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
