
Roads & Highways Civil Engineer Intern - Summer 2026

- Provide administrative and operations support to Roads & Highways Engineering staff
- Collaborate with engineers on Roadway plan production tasks
- Performs simple drafting and CAD assignments following detailed instructions
- Assist in the compilation of design data and the preparation of construction plans
- EXPERIENCE:
- No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
- EDUCATION:
- Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).
- SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer (preferred)
- Demonstrate strong communication skills including active listening
- Willingness to ask questions
