- Shape and execute change management schedule.
- Evaluate scoping information from Engineering (impacted drawings, test procedures, purchase technical specifications, etc) of proposed change.
- Verify and validate Engineering and ILS impacts are within the bounds of the proposed change and are current, accurate, and complete.
- Validate that technical drawing impacts provided are accurate and comprehensive. Identify impacts across multiple proposed changes.
- Ensure that the proposed change accurately captures impacts to manufacturing and identified the correct point of insertion in accordance with the Integrated Master Schedule. Ensure that In-Yard Needs Dates support the execution timeline.
- Understand and interpret the Project Bid (Basis of Estimate) as a basis to establish resource requirements.
- Enforce deadlines across the change team and ensure ECP packages are submitted on time and responses to customer questions are timely.
- Assist the PMO Change team in compiling ECP packages - filling out DD-1692s (ECPs) and DD-1695s (Notices of Revision).
- Attend regular project staff meetings and help ensure the change proposal gets administered through the required technical boards.
- Represent PMO at internal change coordination meetings.
- Meet, as required, with FMM supply chain as required, and understand vendor equities in the proposed change. Ensure that contract modification requirements are understood by the supply chain and the implementation timeline is achieved.

- The Associate Project Engineer must have a minimum of a B.S. Engineering degree. In lieu of a B.S. degree, applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of directly applicable Project Engineering or Project Management experience.
- Works well individually, or as a team, within a functional matrix organization
- Must have working knowledge of Ship Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS) and Contractor WBS
- Must have strong customer service and negotiation skills
- Must have sub-contract vendor relation skills
- Must have successful problem resolution skills
- Must have the ability to read/analyze program metrics
- Must have cost, schedule, and project management skills
- Must have an understanding of risk/opportunity management
