TITLE: Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach
FLSA Status: Part-Time
Department: Athletics
Reports to: Head Women's Volleyball CoachJob Components/Principal Duties .and ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach is responsible to assist the Head Women's Volleyball Coach in all aspects of the coordination of the women's volleyball program including but not limited to:
  • Adhering to NCAA, conference, and Dominican University rules and regulations
  • Identifying and recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes to maintain roster range via in-person and through recruiting databases
  • Monitoring student-athletes' academic preperformance and mental health
  • Coordinating the purchase, distribution, collection, and inventory of team uniforms, equipment and supplies
  • Coordinating team fund raising events
  • Planning and delivering successful skill specific sessions as well as team practices
  • Breaking down of both team and opponent film
  • Creating individual and team-based workouts both in and out of playing season
  • Being able to effectively use data from Volleymetrics
  • Assisting in developing program philosophy and expectations
  • Other intercollegiate coaching duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • This individual must have the ability to work independently within a framework of the assigned projects and must have the ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • This job requires a flexible schedule that involves evenings and weekends
