- Design and test integrated circuits and hardware components for signal processing applications.
- Assist with designing new products and processes, improving and maintaining existing ones.
- Communicate with engineering personnel to coordinate design activities and ensure project completion.
- Conduct design analysis to ensure cost efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.
- Apply ASIC or FPGA place and route tools with various libraries to create physical implementations of designs.
- Develop and maintain documentation for P&R design flows.
- Assist with de-processing electronic components and retrieving stored firmware or software using approved reverse engineering procedures.
- Integrate new P&R tools and ASIC/FPGA design libraries into Government’s CAD environment.
- Lead the designs of new products and improve existing processes.
- Provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers.
- Experience with PCB/SMT manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of place and route (P&R) tools for hardware design.
- Understanding of integrated circuits, ASICs, and FPGAs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for teamwork.
- Ability to work with government CAD environments and tools.
- Programming experience for automated equipment in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with specific SMT machinery and tools.
- Knowledge of quality control standards in manufacturing.
- Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
- Leadership skills for mentoring junior engineers.
