What You'll Be Doing
As part of our responsible business plan, Client is executing a robust disaster resilience strategy which is committed to helping communities better prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team seeks a Project Support contractor who will serve as a key team member of the Disaster Resilience team. The Project Support Contractor will report to a Sr Manager for Disaster Resilience and will work with project teams and stakeholders to plan, execute, monitor, & evolve the program.What You'll Be Doing
- Support a Senior Manager in all aspects of Disaster Preparedness programming in key geographic markets.
- Perform project management duties such as maintaining project plans, tracking deliverables, coordinating with stakeholders on follow-ups, and ensuring action items are completed on time.
- Communicate consistently and clearly with all project stakeholders, ensuring clarity about the strategy, requirements, timeline, adjustments, and progress.
- Conduct secondary research and monitor market trends to identify opportunities for the evolution of the Disaster Resilience program.
- Monitor the results of the Disaster Resilience program and provide recommendations and suggestions for remediation where needed.
- Organize and facilitate key meetings and events with internal and external stakeholders, including assisting the senior manager with content development.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop communications and marketing materials related to Disaster Resilience activities in selected markets.
- Develop and maintain online resources of information and digital files, including shared drives, partner folders, microsites, etc.
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in disaster or community resilience and/or working with non-profit and community based organizations and knowledge and/or experience with federal, state, or local disaster relief or recovery programs.
- Highly organized with demonstrated ability to manage complex programs with multiple stakeholders and workstreams to meet timelines.
- Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible with proven experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize, problem solve and execute sound judgment.
- Expertise in using Google and Microsoft Office software with strong Powerpoint/Google
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, as well as strong oral and
- Self-motivated and able to work independently; comfortable with ambiguity and able to balance multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant discipline, such as Sustainability, Resilience, Emergency Management or other relevant discipline.
- Understanding of the telecommunications industry.
