With robust financial backing and government partnerships accelerating our momentum, there's never been a better time to join us and help build the future of transportation!The OpportunityAs a Propulsion and Power Systems Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing and analyzing the systems that power our vehicles. You'll be responsible for the development, integration, and testing of our propulsion and power distribution systems, ensuring they meet performance and safety requirements.Location: Austin in officeWhat You'll Do:
  • Design and analyze propulsion systems, including rocket engines, electric motors, and their associated components.
  • Develop power systems architecture, including power generation, storage, and distribution.
  • Conduct performance modeling and simulation of propulsion and power systems.
  • Oversee the testing and validation of system prototypes, from component-level to full-scale testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate propulsion and power systems into the overall vehicle design.
What You'll Bring:
  • 3+ years of experience in propulsion or power systems design and analysis.
  • Proficiency with engineering analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, ANSYS).
  • Experience with system-level design and integration.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience with battery and energy storage systems.
  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
  • Familiarity with space vehicle or aircraft design principles.
