Job Description :About the Role:The Diageo Lebanon Distillery is the newest addition to Diageo’s North American Distillery portfolio! The Bulleit brand is undergoing significant growth and this is a key role in ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality whiskey to meet consumer demands. The Diageo Lebanon Bourbon Production Experts (BPE’s) are responsible for the distillery, DDG dry house, warehousing operations and maintenance. This position is a member of a salaried, self-directed, professional, operator/mechanic team ensuring the site operates at the safest level and achieves the highest quality. We are currently hiring to support a 24/7 schedule. Candidates must have a driven sense of ownership and a strong desire to master the entire bourbon production process!Crucial Functions:Plant Safety
Encourage safety, with a continuous focus on improving safe work practices to maintain an injury free environment.Work to eliminate safety hazards, and respond quickly to any safety issuesAssist site leadership team in meeting site safety objectivesDistillery, Dry House and Warehousing OperationsControl and optimize all distillery, DDG dry house and warehousing processesMaintain automated production recording and management reporting systems (SAP)Produce technical contributions to process improvement initiatives while participating within a multi-functional teamIdentify and correct deviations from standard process parametersSupport consistent approaches for Key Performance Indicators of safety, quality and efficiency cost management and deliveryCommunicate with site team regarding all facets of distillation, dry house and warehousingFinish the multi-functional training and implement to scheduled rotations in all production areas to support flexibilityEnsure accuracy and completeness of all production process and inventory paperworkSupport the sensory taste panel for whiskey distillateDistillery, Dry House and Warehousing MaintenanceTroubleshoot, inspect, diagnose, adjust, test, maintain, and clean all facility equipment including, but not limited to; mechanical equipment, electrical equipment and digital, pneumatic and manual instrumentsBasic repairs to pumps, gearboxes, and electrical motorsConduct basic PLC programming and instrument troubleshootingPipe installation including threading and compression fittings as neededBasic steam system maintenanceEnsure modifications and changes to any process or equivalent have a valid work order and approvalsWork in partnership with the Bourbon Resource Manager to understand work order backlog and prioritiesControl job execution including quality, duration, cost and thoroughness of all workUse SAP to coordinate and record asset care activitiesAttend operations shift handover meetings to communicate maintenance and operations eventsLeadership and SuccessProvide support, training and mentor your fellow team members, while positively impacting your colleagues, inspiring and engaging othersSupport a continuous improvement cultureOutwardly demonstrate positive actions and behaviorsOpenly support Diageo’s industry-leading environmental initiatives on reduced water and power usageSelf-motivated, driven to see a task throughWork Environment:
Role operates 90% in the distillery, DDG dry house, and maturing warehouse environment and 10% in an office environment.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Science, Business or related fieldStrong analytical, budgeting, organization and time-management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work with all departments and levels of managementMust work well with other departments and levels of managementUnderstanding of blueprints, specifications and schematicsBasic knowledge and experience of operating pumps and valvesAbility to read and interpret gauges for pressure, vacuum, temperature, and flow rateAbility to read and understand basic process drawingsWillingness to work towards industry qualificationsExperience in distilling or brewery operations preferred but not requiredDiversity Statement:Our purpose is to celebrate life, every day, everywhere.
