Midtown is searching for a Weekend/Evening KidTown/Child Care Associate to join our world-class team. Pay Rate is $16.00/Hour.As an integral part of the childcare team, our KidTown Associates inspire even our youngest members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:Fostering an environment of movement-based fun in a safe and comfortable settingLeading activities such as arts and crafts, story time, and gamesCommunicating both positive and negative behaviors to parents at pick-upCreating relationships with our familiesKeeping the space clean, free of germs and messes to ensure the well-being of staff and childrenStrategizing with leadership to constantly better KidTown and Varsity ClubOur KidTown Associates:Have at least 2 years of experience working with children in an educationally supportive environmentAre comfortable with children ages 8 weeks up to 15 years oldTake initiative and ownership to a position and lead youth members with confidence and carePossess outstanding verbal communication skills with children and adultsHave patience and are outgoing and friendlyHave high energy levels and can keep children moving in a variety of activitiesDisplay a willingness to grow with the changing needs of members and our spaceMaintain a positive attitude and enjoy working with childrenAbility to lift up to 50 lbsWilling to stand for long periods of timeAbility to move from seated to standing position quickly to attend to child’s needsChild CPR, First Aid & AED certification will be required (Midtown provides this training for Associates)This job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
