Accounts Payable - Clerk

- Manage accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
- Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
- Process bills for payment on a weekly basis.
- Reconcile month end vendor statements.
- Analyze workflow process and work together with Assistant Controller to ensure vendor list is accurate and up to date.
- Scan all backup documentation into accounting software.
- Comply with the system of controls set by the Controller and Assistant Controller.
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements of a 501(C)(3).
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and exhibiting vendors.
- Responds to and coordinate with vendors for any issues that arise.
- Maintain open communication with Assistant Controller.
- May assist in special projects.
- Perform other duties, as required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A high level of attention to detail is essential.
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping in a nonprofit environment.
- Knowledge of NetSuite preferred.
- Demonstrated strong organizational and data entry skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fast paced behavioral health office setting.
- Primarily indoors, however, some outdoor work may be requested.
- While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and seldom lift and/or move

- Valid AZ Driver’s License.
- May include travel between sites and other locations.
- Local and statewide travel when requested or required.
