The IT Infrastructure & Network Engineer (SME) serves as the organization's primary subject matter expert for all networking-related systems while also providing hands-on assistance to IT support technicians and end users across infrastructure and systems. This role combines deep technical expertise in network architecture and troubleshooting with a broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient operations across all venues and corporate environments.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Act as the organization's SME for all network-related issues including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN
  • Architect, configure, and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and load balancers
  • Monitor network performance and security, proactively identifying and remediating risks
  • Administer network services such as DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and routing protocols
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for network outages or security breaches
  • Stay current on industry standards, emerging technologies, and security best practices
  • Serve as an escalation point for 1st and 2nd level support on hardware, OS, applications, and user issues
  • Support POS systems, hospitality applications (Micros, Oracle, venue systems), and end-user technologies
  • Assist with Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and server environments
  • Participate in IT projects including system upgrades, cloud adoption, virtualization, and disaster recovery
  • Document standards, processes, and troubleshooting steps for the IT knowledge base
  • Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering and administration
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support and infrastructure operations
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent required; additional CompTIA Network+/Security+ desirable
  • Experience with hospitality systems (POS, Oracle, venue technologies) preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Server, Azure, VMware/Hyper-V, and enterprise security tools
  • Deep knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and security
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network, server, and endpoint layers
  • Strong organizational skills; capable of balancing SME responsibilities with hands-on IT support
  • Valid Driver's License and passport eligibility for travel
  • 21+ years of age
