Step into a role where your skills can truly shine and make a tangible impact in the racing industry.What would you do as a Development Engine Test Cell Engineer?You will play a pivotal role in the facilitation of engine development testing within our state-of-the-art test cells. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and actively participating in engine tests, ensuring data quality and accuracy throughout the process. You will collaborate with requestors, engine builders, and test cell operators to clarify and finalize test plans, while preparing the test cell through programming and configuring data logging and instrumentation.Additionally, you'll program the ECU for engine operation, analyze data during testing to ensure engine health, and post-process results efficiently to guide development paths. Your problem-solving skills will be essential for troubleshooting engine and test cell issues, while also supporting mechanical tasks as needed. Participation in engineering improvement projects will further allow you to contribute to our culture of continuous innovation and excellence in the motorsports industry.What you need to be successful
A BS in mechanical or electrical engineering is desired
Knowledge and experience with internal combustion engine operation fundamentals.
Proficiency with MS Excel. Programming capability is a plus (Visual Basic)
Development testing-engine dynamometer experience
Hands-on engine work experience with standard engine build hand tools, measurement tools, and diagnostic tools
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
Experience with AVL PUMA. Experience with McLaren System Monitor and Atlas is a plus
Knowledge, application, and diagnosis (multi-meter and oscilloscope) of electric circuits
Knowledge and experience with CAN networks and their configuration
Flexibility in work hours to meet NASCAR race schedule, Development Department goals, or Production Department schedule.
