- Assist with screenings per physician orders and enters all information accurately
- Perform clinical intakes
- Aid in minor procedures as necessary per specialty
- Ensure practice flow by preparing patient and equipment for treatment
- Follow safety processes and policies to ensure proper care is given
- Minimum qualifications:
- 1 year of practical medical assisting experience and one of the medical assistant certifications listed below, OR
- Graduate of a medical assistant program in lieu of experience
- Must be currently certified and maintain certification by one of the following:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (“AAMA”) for Certified Medical Assistants (CMA)
- American Medical Certification Association (“AMCA”) for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC)
- American Medical Technologists (“AMT”) for Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- National Association for Health Professionals (“NAHP”) for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (“NCCT”) for National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
- National Healthcareer Association (NHA) for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
- American Registry of Medical Assistants ("ARMA") for Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Current, valid BLS certification is required
- Ability to communicate in English
