- Partner with Account Management to develop and execute territory action plan to drive sales, balance of share, and overall market share according to both regional and/or national objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align key tasks and activities and provide regular updates.
- Ability to prioritize store visit activities to identify and execute opportunities to maximize impact, increase advocacy, and drive sales.
- Facilitate and lead retailer Top Management partnership meetings, demonstrating strong commitment to joint business objectives.
- Establish sales priorities, action plans and participate in retailer activities and functions.
- Utilize sales activity reporting tools to prioritize store visit activities and manage expense forecasts effectively.
- Recommend and structure territory sales programs designed to increase business opportunities.
- Provide partners with tools, strategies, and resources to improve in-store sales performance and drive profitable growth.
- Build trusted relationships with top retailers to understand local strategies and align on collaborative solutions that increase sales, engage and motivate others to drive brand advocacy.
- Maintain a customer focus mindset in all territory initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic partner to build customer centric solutions.
- Assume active ownership of assigned sales territory and respond to specific market needs, and initiate needed action.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with at least 2 years training and/or retail selling experience with strong preference towards the bedding, furniture, durables, or other premium consumer product categories.
- Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and prioritization of tasks.
- Effective communicator, able to convey both written and verbal messages clearly and concisely.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings to accommodate the needs of the business.
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Requires 85-90% travel within assigned territory, primarily day travel with occasional overnight travel.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
