- Uses the nursing process when planning and providing patient/family care.
- Coordinates patient care activities and maintains communications with other disciplines.
- Oversees the delegation of specifics of Care Plan to other employees.
- Teaches the patient/family about the patient's care needs, disease prevention and health maintenance measures.
- Performs technical procedures safely according to policies and procedures.
- Maintains accurate and timely records according to policy.
- Demonstrates self-directed behavior.
- Attends a minimum of 15 hours of continuing education on a yearly basis.
- Ability to develop positive interaction with patients, patients' families, physicians and staff in order to effectively care for the patients.
- Ability to assess, evaluate, explain, teach, problem solve using critical thinking, and perform calculations.
- Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills, time management,
- sound judgment and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Wyoming Registered Nurse (RN) License or enhanced Nurse Licensure (eNLC)
- Valid USA driver's license
- Must have clean driving record that follows Cheyenne Regional Medical Center's driving guidelines
- Cheyenne Regional AHA RQI within 14 calendar days of start date
- 5 Years: Must pass a Background Check every five (5) years from start date that satisfies the Community Choices Waiver (CCW) program
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Home care nursing experience
