  • Coordinate and supervise the performance of routine and specialized technical procedures in a clinical area
  • Develop and implement departmental policy and procedures to solve specific operating problems and improve patient care.
  • Plan and schedule work for the group to ensure proper distribution of assignments as well as adequate manning, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties.
  • Compile and prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
  • Determine fiscal requirement and prepare budgetary recommendations; monitor, verify and reconcile expenditures of budgeted funds.
  • Maintain liaison with physicians, research personnel and staff to resolve problems, to offer advice concerning technical procedures, techniques and equipment, and to maintain conformance with specific operational standards.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs relating to calibration and maintenance of equipment.
  • Supervise and coordinate the patient billing activities.
  • Direct departmental personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, transfers and vacation schedules.
  • Coordinate and participate in training programs in clinical neurophysiology.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work requires a bachelor's degree in biology, physiology, psychology or related scientific field
  • Four years of clinical technical experience to gain expertise in the principles, theories, procedures and equipment in the Endoscopy field
  • High level disinfection experience and supervisory experience prefered
  • Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician through an accredited organization (CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Tech, HSPA, or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician CBSPD)
