- Work closely with government employees and other stakeholders to design solutions leveraging the agency's new cloud-based data platform, modernize their data infrastructure, and improve their data governance processes
- Code and architect enterprise applications in healthcare domain
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand the big picture, design and implement technical architectures that are flexible, reliable and scalable
- Work with clients to gather user input and specify business and technical requirements
- Translate requirements to design specifications and aide Amida's development teams in the implementation of platform solutions
- Architect cloud-based solutions, front-end, database, and reporting/visualization components, based on requirements and expected loads
- Architect Azure-based hybrid cloud applications and migrate data/applications from on-prem to cloud infrastructure
- Design and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies using Azure BLOB storage with consideration of RTO and RPO requirements
- Utilize NSGs for layer 4 Access Control Lists (ACLs) for incoming and outgoing packets
- Lead developers and visualization analysts through the implementation, ensuring adherence to Amida's development and testing processes as well as best practices for testing, code management, and deployment

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- 10+ years experience working on software solutions
- 5+ years experience working with Azure and Amazon Web Services
- 5+ years experience with service-oriented architecture principles, software design patterns, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
- 5+ years experience in database design, SOAP, XML, JSON, Python, MS SQL and WebAPI
- 5+ years of business, functional, and technical analysis to generate requirements
- 5+ years experience with cloud security and application security based on OWASP

- Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
- Familiarity with VA infrastructure and data sources
- Proficiency in cloud architecture design patterns and best practices
- Strong experience with Azure cloud services
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- Understanding of the unique design constraints of the U.S. Government (e.g., Section 508 Compliance)
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA)
