- Strengthen and maintain existing customer relationships.
- Identify and introduce new products to achieve targeted growth.
- Analyze sales reports monthly and take appropriate action as necessary
- Ensure pricing requests and terms and conditions are met prior to customer confirmation.
- Work closely with TSM’s to identify new business opportunities and support customer base with technical sales.
- Work closely with distributors and support their sales team.
- Establish appropriate visit frequency with current customer base.
- Promote Company image
- Discover and understand customer requirements by engaging in dialog/ asking appropriate questions.
- Work with prospective and target customers to identify and propose specific opportunities or solutions which create an added value, both for the customer and AB Mauri, OR,
- request further/additional assistance from TSM partner to assist in resolving technical application issues.
- Plan, analyze and manage monthly sales expenses.
- Timely T&E management required.
- Complete service reports for applicable visits, present to client contact(s),and update into CRM in a timely manner.
- Maintain White Sheets for key accounts.
- Ongoing utilization of CRM tool including:
- Activity reports
- Complete sales forecasts, as required
- Tracking customer ingredient usage
- Significant market share changes
- Track competitive market and industry activity
- Respond to customer requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Proactively seek out potential customer opportunities and develop action plans to resolve concerns or issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Client Service team to support all customer requirements.
- Obtain and enhance sales training annually in at least one of the following areas: product knowledge (AIB or Company product seminar, technical bulletins), selling skills, personnel management, computer skills or regulatory compliance.
- Comply with all HR policies and procedures.
- Comply with relevant employment laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in food science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum seven (7) years of professional level sales experience in the industrial/wholesale baking industry.
- Strong understanding and utilization of a solutions based selling program
- Good technology skills and experience with CRM and Microsoft Office products
- Excellent planning, organization and problem solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. bi-lingual a plus, but not required.
- Thrives in customer-focused environment.
- Food processing operations experience.
- Technical baking skills; certificate in baking technology or similar accomplishment, preferred
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle with safe driving record.
- Home office working environment.
- Located within reasonable distance of metropolitan airport
- Frequent travel (more than 80%) is required for this position.
