- Position Summary
- One temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in the Learning Commons.
- Start Date
- One position available on or after September 1, 2025 and ending on or before May 29, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Job Description/Duties
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greets guests and route to the appropriate department/staff.
- Assist with filing and tracking using paper and electronic systems
- Assist with running errands to other buildings/departments.
- Assist with data entry.
- Assist with answering phones, emails and routing inquires to the appropriate staff in a professional manner.
- Assists with referring students to other campus and community resources.
- Assist with logistics for meetings, outreach and events.
- Assists with development of marketing materials and social media connections.
- Communicates and works with teams to complete projects.
- Assist students in scheduling appointments and responding to inquires using our learning center management platform, StanTutor.
- Monitor and assist with student, staff, faculty and guest questions.
- Participates in marketing and outreach events.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrates ability to market, promote and encourage use of services.
- Must have a work study award as part of their financial aid.
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Salary Range
- $16.50 per hour.
