This role ensures that every student has access to rigorous, engaging, and equitable learning opportunities aligned with state standards and the district’s commitment to being Excellent in Action.Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum and Instruction1. Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of district-wide curriculum in alignment with Alabama State Standards.2. Monitor instructional practices to ensure high-quality, research-based strategies are consistently used across all schools.3. Support the integration of technology and innovative teaching practices into classroom instruction.Professional Learning4. Design and oversee professional development programs and mentoring programs that strengthen teacher and administrator effectiveness.5. Provide coaching, resources, and collaborative opportunities that promote continuous improvement.6. Build leadership capacity within schools through targeted training and mentoring.Assessment and Accountability7. Coordinate district and state testing programs, ensuring compliance with regulations.8. Analyze student achievement data to identify trends, inform instructional decisions, and support school improvement planning.9. Communicate assessment results clearly to stakeholders, including principals, teachers, families, and the Board of Education.Collaboration and Leadership10. Serve as a key member of the district leadership team to align teaching and learning initiatives with the district’s strategic goals.11. Partner with principals to support instructional leadership at the school level.12. Engage with families, community partners, and higher education institutions to expand student opportunities.13.
