Hourly Rate: $200–$260/hr

Their mission is rooted in creating safe, healing-centered environments for children and adolescents who've experienced trauma, family disruption, or systems involvement.With a collaborative team of therapists, nurses, social workers, and educators, the organization is committed to helping youth develop emotional wellness, healthy relationships, and the skills needed for a positive future.The OpportunityWe're seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide part-time psychiatric services to youth (ages 7–18) in a residential treatment setting.This role involves psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing consultation with care teams to ensure each youth receives holistic and culturally competent support.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessmentsDevelop individualized, evidence-based treatment plansPrescribe and manage psychotropic medicationsProvide crisis intervention and psychiatric consultation for acute needsParticipate in interdisciplinary care planning meetingsMaintain timely and compliant clinical documentationSupport trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate care approachesQualifications✔ MD or DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency
✔ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN)
✔ Valid and unrestricted NY State medical license (or ability to obtain)
✔ Active DEA registration
✔ Comfortable treating youth ages 7–18 and working with families
✔ Familiarity with trauma-informed care models (e.g., TF-CBT, DBT) preferred
✔ Valid Driver's License requiredPreferred ExperienceTreating youth involved in foster care, residential treatment, or juvenile justice systemsPracticing trauma-informed, culturally responsive psychiatric careWorking within interdisciplinary clinical teamsWhy Join
