The Enterprise Infrastructure Security Engineer ensures the secure engineering, integration, and sustainment of enterprise infrastructure components including Cisco networks, NetApp storage, and SolarWinds monitoring systems for our Office of Naval Intelligence sponsor in Suitland MD. This role focuses on implementing STIG- and SRG-compliant baselines to maintain resilient and secure infrastructure across the enterprise.Responsibilities:
- Engineer and secure Cisco network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) with DISA STIG compliance.
- Configure and manage NetApp storage systems for secure, SRG-compliant data handling and retention.
- Engineer secure deployment and configuration of SolarWinds for infrastructure monitoring and compliance auditing.
- Implement secure baselines and hardened configurations across infrastructure components.
- Conduct performance tuning and resilience improvements while ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity mandates.
- Work with cybersecurity teams to document, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities across enterprise infrastructure.
- Support RMF and accreditation documentation related to infrastructure components.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
- 5+ years of experience with Cisco enterprise networks, including secure configuration and STIG implementation.
- Proficiency with SolarWinds or other enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies, STIGs, and SRGs.
- Cisco CCNP or CCNA certification.
- Experience with secure integration of hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Experience managing enterprise storage solutions such as NetApp ONTAP.
- Prior experience in DoD/IC environments.
Work performed in secure facilities requiring classified access. May include on-call or after-hours work to support critical infrastructure maintenance.
