Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-HireOur client in Cudahy, WI is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join their team on 1st shift. This hands-on role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of related experience, forklift certification, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Receive and inspect incoming shipments of materials, supplies, and returned goodsVerify all received items against purchase orders and shipping documentsPull, package, and prepare outgoing orders accurately according to specificationsLoad and unload trucks safely using forklift and/or overhead craneDeliver materials to proper storage areas or departmentsEnsure all shipments meet required standards for quantity, quality, and accuracyReport defective materials, discrepancies, or damaged items to supervisor promptlyMaintain active and courteous communication with co-workers, customers, and logistics personnelCollaborate with other departments to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipmentsOperate forklift, cranes, and other warehouse equipment safelyPerform daily inspections of work area and equipmentFollow OSHA, PPE, SDS, and all company health & safety protocolsParticipate in required orientation, safety training, and ongoing development programsMaintain clean, organized workspaces indoors and outdoorsComply with all company policies, procedures, and administrative guidelinesOther duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum 2 years of shipping/receiving or related warehouse experienceForklift certification and experience requiredAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentGood verbal and written communication skillsBasic computer proficiencyPhysically able to lift and move materials as neededReliable attendance and commitment to schedulePositive, team-oriented attitudeWork Environment:Indoor and outdoor work settingsExposure to loud noises, moving equipment, and fluctuating temperaturesPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
