- Develop and deliver industry leading natural systems and stormwater management design strategies for various projects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines
- Lead natural resources and environmental restoration design, including stream and wetland mitigation
- Review natural systems and drainage design activities and create appropriate design plans and construction drawings
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and planners, sub-contractors, presenting creative solutions and project updates to customers and various stakeholders
- Serve as a subject matter expert and utilize hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS to model streams, bridge and culvert crossings and various floodplain impacts
- Review, prepare, submit technical reports, documentation, and presentations related to drainage design and stormwater management, contributing to the project deliverables and progress reporting
- Perform field investigations to collect data, take field measurements, photographs, sketches, and verifying surveys as needed
- Perform project management responsibilities such as task scheduling with junior staff, estimating, change order support and client coordination as needed for technical project support
- Mentor and lead up-and-coming engineers, technicians, and planners
- Work alongside marketing and executive leadership on proposal and pursuit development
- Minimum of Ten (10) years of experience as an Engineer
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Tennessee or the ability to apply for reciprocity
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
- Advanced knowledge of natural systems design, stormwater design and hydraulic modeling
- Proficient with industry software such as: MicroStation, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, AutoCAD, Civil3d
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts and collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Experience leading task orders or projects in water resources infrastructure design/engineering
