
Cardiovascular Echo Sonographer I, Per Diem, OMC

- Performance of echocardiograms in accordance with established department protocols based on ASE and IAC standards and in compliance with Atlantic Health System (AHS) policies and procedures.
- Complete clerical tasks associated with echo exams, including completing and recording all testing information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of DICOM workflow inclusive of work list, imaging, exporting, and preliminary reporting.
- The sonographer will assist the physician with performance of Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) and Stress echocardiograms as needed.
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited CVT school with focus on echocardiography (CAAHEP accredited preferred).
- Credentialed with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required.
- Min. of 1 year experience performing echocardiograms in a hospital setting preferred.
- Experience in performing Transesophageal Echocardiograms preferred.
- 3D echocardiography experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with patient focus required.
