On Call Counsel is seeking a dedicated Attorney to join a specialized legal team handling a high-volume docket of over 1,200 sexual assault cases. This role will focus heavily on conducting depositions and client interviews, contributing to the fact-finding and litigation preparation process. This is an in-office position that requires a compassionate, professional demeanor and a high degree of discretion and sensitivity to trauma-related subject matter.Key Responsibilities:Conduct detailed and trauma-informed client interviews to gather critical case informationPrepare for and conduct depositionsWork closely with supervising attorneysMaintain accurate, organized records and documentation for each caseCommunicate effectively with clients, often in emotionally challenging situationsAssist with drafting legal documents and summarizing deposition transcripts, as neededNavigate and apply knowledge of relevant laws, procedures, and court deadlinesQualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive NY bar license in good standingMinimum 2 years of legal practice experience; litigation or trauma-related legal work preferredDemonstrated ability to handle emotionally sensitive subject matter with empathy and professionalismExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailMust be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentCommitment to confidentiality, ethics, and client-centered serviceAdditional Details:Full-time, in-office positionContract duration: 12+ months with potential for extensionSupportive, collaborative legal team environmentPay/Experience:$40/hour for 1 year$52/hour for 1-3 years$56.00/hour for 3-7 years of experience$58.00/hour for 7+ years of experienceTo Apply:
